Asked to speak to a supervisor & she just hung up

Once again I have to complain about Standard Bank. I called the Home loans department today to find out how to cancel our bond and Nobuhle told me that it would take 3 months and that Standard Bank Lawyers fees would be incurred. She told me that I had to fax the cancellation and one could not email it. mmmm... really! On requesting the cost of the lawyers she said she did not know. I asked her to put me through to someone that could and she said no one can tell me that. So I asked for her supervisor and said the supervisor could also not tell me. I however insisted that she put me through to a supervisor, which she said she would and proceeded to hang up on me.

How can Standard Bank not disclose the cost of the bond cancellation, nor offer the facility to email the letter of cancellation when everything else can be emailed to them. The ECT Act is in place to allow for electronic communication. I am sure the Ombud will confirm that all lawyers costs need to be disclosed.

Standard Bank, once again you let us down..... I am disgusted.
