Arrears I don't have for an account I no longer own

I have been receiving call after call from a place called MacRobert Attorneys stating that I have an arreared account, after contacting Maria from your call centre I have been informed that my current account is up to date. I have previously possessed a Blue bean credit card which was paid up in full and from which I have received a settlement letter.

I am left slightly baffled by the service I have received from Standard Bank as I also tried to open up an account at the Tokai branch and was told I would receive an email which never appeared and after calling the call centre I discovered that they could not even pick up the card she gave me. Thankfully I did not close my account with FNB or my salary would of been going to an inactive account.

This sort of service is not expected from a bank I have come to trust.

Please urgently address this apparent arreared account. The settlement letter will gladly be provided. Take into account that this was settled over a year ago and I am still being hounded. This is also my second complaint about debt collectors harassing me for the same account. Last year another firm had done the same. Is this going to be an annual affair. Kindly be advised that it is humiliating to be called by attorney's and have someone take a message for you because they are calling during work hours.

Please stop selling names to firms its not ethical and not needed by a bank of your caliber.

I do look forward to a response.
