Apalling service

When I processed a transaction online, Standard Bank saw it as suspicious and so blocked the transaction and my card. The site gave me the credits I was buying and the bank DID NOT INFORM ME. The next morning I called a taxify and was told the card was declined. I called an uber and the uber came. Two days later I wanted to pay for a subscription to skype and the transaction did not go through. At this point when I phoned the bank after 25 minutes on the phone, they established that they had blocked my card, not informed me, not paid the four ubers I had taken and not paid the site that gave me credits. They informed me that they could not process the transaction now - not even if I went into the bank; They could not send me an email to assist in showing the site which exact transaction they had blocked or that they needed to reprocess the transaction; They could not assist in any way shape or form other than to unblock my card now. The person who "assisted" me was lovely, but the system that the bank has set up for such situations makes me wonder why I don't keep my cash under my mattress. When will banks start treating their clients as clients instead of people whose money they have access to?
