Account open without my consent

Standard bank open a credit card in my name without informing me. They did not give me a card for this account. I did not know this account was open nor did I use it in any way. They then proceeded to charge me bank charges for the account when the bank charges was 2months in the arrears did I get an SMS to let me know. I went into a bank to try and resolve the issue, the exact wording was there is nothing they will do for a credit card account I must call the call centre. After hours of calling and useless service I was told to go into a branch and settle the amount owing even though I never opened the account nor used it. Eventually I was threatened into believing if I didn't may the amount I would be blacklisted. I paid the amount as I have never missed any of payments before. I was then told by the bank that I need to call the the call centre to close the account. After hours on the phone with the centre and numerous reasons why the account could not be closed it was finally said that it was closed. All this was in July 2017. I recently did a credit check because I was flagged as a bad payer which did not make sense. My credit score came to an 805 for excellent but the problem was Standard bank as still not updated they records and now it is affecting me with getting a loan. They are a bunch ******* I have no idea how they can open an account without the consent of a consumer. Disgusting. They don't even have the decency to update the system to fix they problems. I hope I never need to deal with Standard bank again.
