Account not closed - to get more fees

In April 2015 I logged into my online banking profile (authenticated session) and requested for my bank account to be closed. I do not live in South Africa any more and do not need the bank account.<br> <br> I noticed that the account was never closed. What I find amazing is that you continue to charge me a monthly banking fee and since there is no money in my account, you deduct the money from my overdraft facility.<br> <br> I have NEVER requested an overdraft facility from you. How can you provide me with an overdraft account if I do not live in the country AND I do not have an income in South Africa.<br> <br> It seems to me, you just do whatever suits you, so that you can charge fees for an account and also interest on an account that should not be active at all.<br> <br> I have arranged for the outstanding balance (for the unwanted overdraft account and fees) to be settled. Close the account. I would like to reiterate - the account should be closed. I do not live in the country and have no income in South Africa. This seems like reckless lending and not according to the CPA or NCA?<br> <br> Thank you,
