Subject: Closing Cheque Account
On the 16th January 2020 I visited the Standard Bank branch in Cornubia (Kwazulu-Natal) to close the cheque account (*******98). I went to the branch in (February and March 2020) and the cheque account is still not closed.
When I went back on the 7th February 2020 I was informed that the consultant ( last name Govender) was on lunch and would sort the matter out.
1st week of March I returned and Ayanda informed me that the consultant who initially assisted me was off but will forward message to her when she returns.
Following week in March 2020 I phoned General Banking and someone useless put me on hold to get me the number for Cornubia, I held on the line until the phone cut off.
It's 12 May 2021 and account is still open. What do I need to do to have this account closed?
