ACCOUNT CLOSURE FROM OABROAD

I am now living abroad , and have decided to stay here permanently and will no longer need the use of the account I hold with standard bank,

1st of all I have been trying for months and months to cancel a funeral plan I realized was still debiting my account I called in to try and get it cancelled , I was referred to standard bank insurance this is after a $150.00 cellphone bill due to international calling, I then email transact banking to try and get this resolved ,but get a response that I need to send some verification details of which I did and still did not hear a response, I then send another email this time I get a response from Selloane Mabaso from the voicebank also requesting verification details once again I do that and still weeks later no response , I then send another email this time around a person by the name Michael Van Der Walt from voice branch ask me to verify personal details , yet again I do that , and weeks later still no response, I then make another expensive call into the call center only to be told sorry sir the system says your verification is unsuccessful , but what I will do is email Selloane Mabaso and ask him to do a follow up days later still no follow up, as stated months prior to my account going to a 0.00 balance that I need these services terminated and yet to date nothing has been done and now you standard bank is now deducting fees off a revolving loan that was paid up and paid extra to that, today that revolving is being debited after countless times asking you to cancel and close my account , I am unable to go into a branch because I'm in north America, today I get an email after sending an InMail from the banking app , that I need to accounts are only closed at branches but you can send your card cut up and a certified copy of ID , my question is who is going to pay for the international mail from abroad , when all I ask is that my account be closed how hard can that request be, I have mailed prestige banking I have mailed complaints and still no one is able to help in having these account closed , do I now send this request directly to SIM CHABALALA and his team or is some going to help all I ask is my account be closed with immediate notice , PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT I NOW USE AN INTERNATIONAL NUMBER AND MY SOUTH AFRICAN NUMBER IS ON ROAMING BUT NOT FOR CALLS

I appreciate the acknowledgement,

but all I ask is for my account to be closed immediately before any other fees and amounts are debited on my account , this has been an ongoing battle with standard bank to stop these fees and debits going off on my account and have previously stated this to everyone I have communicated with , Please close and cancel my account I no longer need the use of this account, I hope this will be the last time I have to try an get this resolved , as former employee of standard bank I am really disappointed , I will be left with no choice but to send this request to Sim or Funeka maybe then I will get the help that I need , I plead that this account be closed immediately ,

Thank you to Roxanne Green who was a big help , standard bank needs to reward that lady and maybe also train the rest of the consultants on how to deal with an international client that for obvious reasons can not present themselves at a local branch , this could have been resolved if the consultants are properly trained and not just respond with out understanding the requirements of the client, once again a big thank you to Roxanne you a definitely an asset to SBSA
