Account been on hold for too long

My account has been in hold for over a month. I called in the beginning, they said I would have to communicate with Absa cause they were the reporting bank, I did that and Absa sorted their part out. When I called again they said no you have to make an affidavit now. Why wasn't I told that in the first place? Anyway, I made it and it's been weeks now and no word from them. Very disappointed in Standard Bank
