A Week Later and Still No Resolution from Standard Bank

It’s now Friday, a full week has passed, and the only communication I receive is an email from Gordon claiming that my card has expired. This is completely unacceptable. Standard Bank has never called me back, despite being given the only number I use and despite multiple follow-ups from my side.

To date, no one has contacted me regarding the unblocking or unfreezing of my accounts. Yet I’m expected to accept an excuse about an expired card when the real issue—the wrongful freezing of my accounts—remains ignored.

This is beyond poor service. It is negligent. Standard Bank has shown no urgency, no accountability, and no intention to resolve this matter. At this point, your institution is proving to be a joke.

I need immediate and direct feedback on the status of My accounts or irrelevant emails that contain no truth and empty promises

I am currently seated at Standard Bank – The Glen branch seeking assistance with an account that has been disabled since October.
Despite having fully comp**** with all requests and submitted all required documentation, this matter remains unresolved. Branch staff themselves have expressed concern regarding the lack of service and the apparent breakdown in internal communication.
Today, a ***** Department representative, Cindy, advised that I would receive a call within 10 minutes. It has now been over 30 minutes with no contact. This continues a pattern of missed commitments and inadequate follow-through.
I was further informed that the individual who initiated the account hold refused to engage with an in-house colleague, which is unacceptable and indicative of serious operational failure.
This prolonged inaction has caused significant disruption to my financial affairs and placed my professional credibility at risk. There is no reasonable justification for an account to remain disabled for this length of time without resolution or a clear explanation.
I hereby request immediate escalation and intervention, including:
  1. Written confirmation of who authorised the account hold
  2. A clear explanation for the delay since October
  3. Specific actions being taken to resolve this matter today
