A Bank that ignores you, blames you and cost you money for nothing
This bank became a liability and useless seemingly overnight. Some history I was able to pay for anything from my Credit card beginning of November. Before the 24th Of November my subscriptions stopped working and the message I got is that my card details are incorrect. I insured that there is funds available, but still, I can't renew the subscriptions. 28 November Tried to contact my personal banker. As per usual she ignored me. Not sure why I have one if she will always ignore me. I contacted Standard Bank. I was on the line with Standard Bank for 1 hour. In the end I was blamed because I didnt know the very stupid app took everything over and I was instructed, with minimum instructions, as if they also didn't know what they are doing, what I need to do. I still couldn't renew the subscription. Same message again. 29 November I wanted to buy a product that was a black Friday deal. Paid over money to ensure that there is enough money available. attempted to buy the product. Got informed that there isn't enough funds. But there was. I contacted Standard Bank again. I was informed that I can't transfer money and use it immediately. This is how it use to be. I normally could transfer and use immediately. Once again I'm being blamed. I was told that I should wait until after 7PM (When they are closed) to attempt to buy the product again. 30 November I looked at my balance and found that I now paid twice for this product. I went online to see if I at least bought this product now, but it reported that I don't own it. Contacted Standard bank again - Busisiwe Amanda - She said I should full in a dispute form. I was very upset to this and said that they are suddenly making banking very hard, and there is something wrong on my account and now it's costing me to lose out on a deal and money. She responded by ending the call. I called again - Patience Ayanda Luciano - He said the same thing and said that he will send me the form (Now more that 30min later, still no form). He suggested I create a virtual account and try again and offered to help. I declined this offer since I dont want to attempt anything anymore because I'm scared I may lose more money. I don't want to USE MY BANK BECAUSE IT'S COSTING ME MONEY AND I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. He said that I have to phone again at 8:00am because the digital team will only be back then. Again, I have to do more work just to get somebody to look at my account.
I will now have to go the extra mile in hopes to get back my money. I still can't purchase anything online and I'm still without my money. I still dont trust my bank to attempt to use my money. WOW. A bank that makes you worry about your money?
Standard Bank is making banking a nightmare. And they use to be great. My so call "Personal banker" - KEAGILE RADINKU - is useless. The last communication she gave me was: "Please contact customer support". Why are you then my personal banker????

I received a call number.
I was promised that this matter will be looked into and I will receive communication from them.
Now 24 hours later
Still no dispute form
My money is still not paid back into my account.
I still don't own the product in question.
I still can't pay for my R49 subscription.
Still no word from Standard Bank.
So called "Private Banker" still MIA
Should have known this will only be lies on lies and more lies. So, I will probably call them AGAIN so that nothing can change. Can't wait........................................

So, to my count 6 people had a look at my account. EVERYTIME I was told to look on the app that doesn't display all the data. Now keep this in mind.
So, my personal banker contacted me. Amazing, I know.
He said that the money was paid over so no dispute form was needed. He also would like to know what my issue is then. I said that the money isn't paid back because the amount that is left doesn't work out so well. He said I should logon to my app then he will go over it step by step.
Luckily I decided to logon via my laptop and not using the stupid useless and uninformed app.
He went over it as I followed, attempting to show me how wrong I am. And that's when I noticed it! After I paid my monthly fee, my bank took about R1 349,15 with no reason or update on why and where this money is going. It just vanished. So, when I attempted to pay for the subscription, I was already in the minus, past my overdraft (By the way I can only go R1000 in my overdraft), that's why my ****** brain thought there is money, since I paid all the money over that is taken monthly, but in reality, there is nothing left. But when I paid the money over, I went back into the allowed overdraft part, but the amount left wasn't enough to pay for the product. All that the app showed me is that the money was taken twice and that I paid admin fees because it failed. Nothing else. So, I didn't know about the missing money until I opened my account via Internet explorer.
Now remember 6 people looked at it and NEVER noticed it! My so-called personal banker also couldn't see where the money went and what it was for. 6 people. 6!
He promised me to look into it and come back to me.
So, he did with a lady that can see more. She kept going around the sudden missing money. I kept trying to clear that up, but she never explained it to me correctly, or rather, she said she did, but I didn't understand. In the end they said it was pending money. I said it couldn't be since I only use this card to do online purchases and don't use it for much else. They point out 2 transactions. One for R84 and another for R109. This is things I did use my card for, but when I asked how this could accumulate to R1350 they just seem to ignore my answer or perhaps I didn't get the forward answer I needed. But an answer wasn't given at all.
Apparently, there are 2 transactions that should come back to me that I'm not seeing. Could be that I attempted 6 times to buy this product. So, there are 2 more that should come back. Still doesn't explain the R1350 that just went missing. They requested I wait until tomorrow to see if this is resolved or not. I will wait, but something tells me a good answer for that missing money will never be given.0
I get the feeling they don't wat to address this, since this is an issue they don't wat to face. The lady admitted that she can't tell me why this missing money is gone and blamed me for not noticing it earlier. The app didn't show it. So what? Should I login every 2 seconds on my laptop to see if my bank suddenly had the urge to take money from me and then call them to get the non-answer I got today??? Isn't a bank supposed to be "Reliable"? How on earth is THIS a reliable bank????????????
What are you willing to bet they will just say "Sorry. Money is lost and it's your fault"?
I remember a few months ago a friend of mine complained that Standard bank just took money from him. He used the word "******". He moved to FNB. As per him, he is paying less on his home load and less fees Standard Bank charged him. He said I should do the same and told me how easy it is. Perhaps this is what he was talking about and perhaps I should do the same.

I would have liked to see if I can now pay for my subscription, but sadly I can't from my work.
The deal is still available (This is the last day), but I noticed my awesome wife bought it for me so I can't test that.
I would like to thank those who helped - Mainly My Personal banker who said he is on leave now, but he clearly kept an eye on the issue. That was awesome of him.
I honestly don't like the fact that I had to Hello Pete to get the attention on my issues, but at least they sorted it out now. And I'm grateful.
If I can figure this out, I will change my rating to at least 3 stars.
I hope this is the last issue I will have, and I look forward to better experience.
Thank you
