A bank that could not care less; Standard Bank

On Monday 12 Dec 2022 I found that there was a Standard Bank Account which was affecting my credit profile. Upon investigation with Bianca Macks of the Clearwater Mall Branch of Standard Bank it was determined that the account (acc no: **********91) was closed and it was not on my profile. Bianca informed the Standard Bank Credit Card Bureaux by emailing them; that I require a letter confirming I have no active accounts or a document confirming account **********91 is not my bank account.

I have been following up with Standard Bank Credit Card Bureaux. They do not respond to my emails. They don't seem to care that this is affecting my credit record. I am in the process of buying a home and this is drastically affecting my life; but Standard Bank Credit Card Bureaux just does not seem to care.

eventually after going public with my complaints, they finally made contact with me. They then promised to resolve my issue by 14 Feb 2023. It was not a happy valentine. They referred me to a law firm called Shackleton Attorneys t make a settlement for an overdraft. I have since then sent them a paid up letter; proving that I had paid this overdraft completely through MBD Attorneys; on of Standard Banks collections agents. What had happened; I ask; did Standard Bank refer the account to 2 collection agents; and does Shackleton Attorneys not know that i settled with MBD Attorneys; does Standard Bank have no clue what is happening with their agents; and do I have to suffer because of it. Yolanda who contacted me once from a telephone number which I can supply on request; called me once to let me know she is handling my query; promised to give me daily updates over a week ago; and she has never called me since and does not respond to the voicemails I have left for her; requesting an update.

When this bank makes ads they appear to care so much; perhaps the adverts are truly just smoke and mirrors. certainly the behaviour of Standard Bank Credit Card Bureaux seems to suggest this
