3850.00 ****med from pensioner

Hi
My mum and dad made a trip to arbor crossing to the atm to make a withdrawal. After my dad had put in the card
Into the atm he realized the screen was blurry and the keyboard was not readable.
Actually the numbers on the keyboard were worn out so he decided to terminate the transaction, whereby he preesed the cancel button so he could receive my mums card.
After waiting a while for the card to return , they realized the card was jammed and it did not want to come out.

Thereafter my dad stopped a passerby and requested to use his cellphone, because when he used his phone his
Airtime was finished.

When made the call they asked him for account number or Id number, which he did not have on him and he nor my mum could remember those numbers.

After terminating the call they returned home and gave me the details of the account, and I made the call and stopped the card.
The next day they went to standard bank prospect on branch and was told someone withdrew 3850.00 from mums account.
They were given a service request number ***.
All said n done standard bank refuses to pay my mum the 3850.00 that was withdrawn.
Std bank should be held responsible for these ATMs.
