3 weeks for a bank card

i have recently app**** for a cheque acc at standard bank while i was on holiday in jhb. i requested the card be sent to my home town in cape town to bayside centre. i was told it will take 7 days. 5 days later i get an sms to fetch the card in jhb bedford centre. i spent hours being put on hold and eventually went to bayside std bank myself and asked them to fix the problem. i got told the card has been redirected and will arrive soon. more than a week later and still no card only to find out via the call centre that they destoyed my card in jhb because i didnt fetch it. the audacity. how am i supposed to buy food without a card. i am in my 4th week of waiting and getting more and more angry every day. if i do not get my card before friday i will take the story to every newspaper in the country. i am sick of waiting. you are false and clearly dont give a damn about your customers
