10 days to reset a pin for a customer overseas

I am in the UK at the moment and have blocked my internet banking by mistake. I emailed the customer care email address and 3 days later still have no reply from that avenue. I phoned the customer care number on Thursday 7 March and was told to send a copy of my passport, the actual card front and back and 3 of my signatures on a piece of paper.

I did that.

I am still waiting for a reply..............

In the meantime I called the customer care number this morning and am told it will take up to 10 working days........... WHAT!!!??? Why???? I cannot access my internet banking and it is urgent. How on earth can it take 10 days to help me get into my internet banking while I am overseas and need help now????

Seriously Standard Bank, I need help today.

no reply still here on hellopeter.com. Just the usual official business reply. Very bad service, seen here too on hellopeter.com. I have just received a reply from my email to Standard Bank which I sent on 7 March and then again the next day and then again........ Good day It is my pleasure to advise with your enquiry Please note your request is still in progress. Expected turnaround time is: 2019-03-18 You are welcome to contact us should you require further assistance. Kind regards Customer Contact Centre E-mail Unit Really????? Are they resetting my pin with smoke signals or having to fly someone to the universe to get it from there??? What a useless system. And ridiculous service from Standard Bank. I have always been the one to defend Standard Bank but now I know.
