WORST EXPERIENCE with STADIO HIGHER Education (PGCE)

I won't pretend that I was thrilled to enroll in Stadio's distance learning program. I believed I could balance my academics and employment. When I realized that I would have to finish my tests during the hours I work throughout the week—since they are due at 16:00 while I'm still at work—this turned into a nightly struggle. I had to finish this during my unpaid leave because I still owe money for my fees. Therefore, I had to choose between skipping a test and complaining about my workload at work, or paying R270 to have the portal reopened for me.

2. I have signed up for distance learning, however I have been instructed to file an inquiry for my marked assessments, which just include comments and not actual marking. What exactly do I need to query about on my marked assessments with a deadline? Actually, this is a night mere at its finest.

We are DL, and I think that our educational time should be considerate of the fact that we have obligations during the day. As a result, the amount of work we are assigned should be considerate, and the majority of it should be a test of our ability to complete the work we are given or study for, rather than being overloaded with work as if we were full-time first-degree students. As I am simply studying to pass what I am paying for, which is far more than ex expected, I can barely state that everything I have learnt in Stadio during my studies would be able to be app**** in the workplace.

What this boils down to is: Is Stadio a business or an institution?

3. If we study on a semester basis and using DL, where one takes 2-3 or 4 modules per year and then completes the following year, I don't understand if the university should keep our results. Why does Stadio hold results for students who owe fees and aren't even close to finishing their degrees while still claiming that students can still appeal their grades if they're unhappy with them?

Students must obtain their results on the platform that the school provides in order to determine whether they need to repeat a module or whether they passed it, as well as to possibly ask if they need to. I believe they could possibly hold off on giving the students their certificates until their fees are paid not seeing or knowing about their performance since the results are not transcripts or certificate to apply with.

Even though I am in the second semester and about to retake my exams, I have no idea if I passed or failed my first semester, which is why I am speaking in this manner. Once I have finished my R36+k, I will only be able to view my results. Even now, I can't recall how much I owe.

I have never felt so stressed during a period of study.
