Super disappointed at the service: Withheld academic record and completion letter

I am writing to share my experience with STADIO, where I enrolled for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education from January to December 2023. Overall, my academic journey has been enriching, thanks to the high standards of education and the exceptional lecturers who have played a pivotal role in my learning.

While I am grateful for the positive aspects of my education, I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the administrative processes at STADIO, which have unfortunately overshadowed my overall experience. In March 2023, I diligently settled my tuition fees in full to ensure a seamless academic journey and avoid any issues, particularly concerning the timely release of results.

Regrettably, the release of results on the 14th of December 2023, just before a public holiday and weekend, was followed by a period during which lecturers were on leave. Attempts to query marks during this time were met with the response that lecturers would return in January. Fortunately, my concerns were eventually addressed, and my marks were updated.

The primary issue that I wish to highlight pertains to the retrieval of academic records and completion letters. I paid a fee of R 270 for this service shortly after receiving my results, with the expectation of a prompt delivery of the documents. Upon inquiring at the Musgrave Campus, I was informed by a representative, possibly Amber, that the release of academic records and completion letters would be delayed until after the completion of supplementary exams.

It was explained that the process involves marking supplementary exam scripts, addressing mark queries, and subsequently dispatching completion letters in bulk before providing academic records to those who have made the required payment. The anticipated completion of this process, around the end of January or the beginning of February, has left me with a sense of inconvenience and frustration.

My concern lies in the fact that, despite having successfully completed my program with no supplementary exams, mark queries, or outstanding fees, my academic documents are being withheld due to processes that are relevant to other students. This situation has put my life on hold, and I find it disheartening to be inconvenienced by matters that do not pertain to my individual circumstances.

I believe in the potential for improvement within any institution, and I trust that STADIO will take the necessary steps to address and rectify such administrative challenges. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for a swift resolution.
