Stadio - Typical terrible service level in SA

On Saturday the 27th of August my wife left work early to join a lecture. She also missed our son’s soccer match for the lecture. Which is of course not a problem, but the reply she received from one of the student advisors or whatever they are called on the ‘Announcement group’ left her in tears and is absolutely horrific.

She tried to join the lecture from her phone, but the link would not work, from within a PDF file. Afterwards I also tried from her phone and it didn’t work - for whatever reason - but later on, after the lecture, she did see it worked from her laptop. The point is, she asked for help on the student Whatsapp group to be able to join the lecture (at that point from her phone), and this is the reply she received from Thabisele:

Wife: Good afternoon. Can you please tell me how to join the lectures. There is no link Thabisele: There’s a link on the timetable I sent on the announcement group where it’s written YouTube or Zoom you choose the one you able to join Wife: It is a pdf I cannot join from there, tried multiple times. Thabisele: I’ve been sending the pdf and no student has said the links aren’t working. And just look at the screen recording I sent it’s shows that it’s working. For future references learn to prepare in advance for sessions and don’t come last minute to avoid such situations. Also the Announcement group is there for a reason for guys to recieve important messages if you expect other students to do the work you should be doing for yourself you’ll have a problem. So please take your studies seriously because I know students who act in such manner end up repeating the course because they don’t want to follow instructions

Is this the standard of support that Stadio offers? Are you ok with this? My wife being accused and attacked like that for asking for help? I think it is shameful. And she wasn’t the only student that had this problem, as claimed by Thabisele – proof can be provided.

I sent an email to Stadio giving them a right of reply but after only being asked what she was studying I was ignored and have had no reply since - it leaves me with no alternative as to believe they condone this behaviour.

Horrible.
