Southern Business School/Stadio is for the Elite - Commercialisation of education On registering with this institution one was intrigued by its vision to offer access to quality and affordable higher education, to which I must admit the fees are reasonable.

It has been a very tumultuous and economically challenging year for everyone due to the unprecedented scourge of the Corona virus, which has wreaked havoc in our lives and left a lot of people unemployed and unable to make ends meet. It is within these trying circumstances that I found myself trying to strike a balance on my obligations with the limited means available.

I have outstanding fees of R9000 of which I sent a request to pay R5000 and settle the rest over 2 or 3 months, so I can at least register and continue with my studies. To my dismay and utter frustration I was advised there was no arrangement that could be made as they want a minimum of R7500 so I can be registered. I have since January tried to get loans and haven't been very successful.

Its unfortunate we live in a society were institutions such as SBS/Stadio commercialize education and make it a commodity for the elite. I actually thought considering all that we going through as a country at the moment, there would be understanding in this regard.

Thank you for your comment. We have the utmost sympathy for our students following the challenging 2020 Covid affected year.

Although we try and assist students as much as possible and to the best of our ability we also have to comply with our corporate governance rules as a listed company, which are dictated by industry regulated responsible financial management principles.

Thank you for your response, albeit it not being the desired or a favourable one.

I must contend l respect your principled stance to tow the discriminatory organisational stance.There isn't anything untoward about my financials as l laid them bare on the initial post

I will however try, to borrow from Peter to pay the proverbial Paul, in my quest to can get an education.
