LISOF is neither passionate about fashion or education! Just money...

Firstly, I'd just like to make mention of something; almost all the complaints on Hello Peter regarding LISOF pertain to the attitude of staff. And as a student of Lisof, I have to agree that the staff is an absolute nightmare to deal with. And that is the general consensus among students as well.

Moving on... In 2016 I registered to do a higher certificate in Fashion at Lisof (Blairgowrie). By March of that year my fees were fully paid off.

Come the end of that year I was informed that I had passed all but two modules and therefore couldn't graduate. Failing one of the modules was no surprise to me because I had struggled with it and so I had prepared myself to take it again another year. However failing the second module was a huge surprise to me. Upon logging onto the student portal, I realised I was awarded a zero grade for an assignment that I had in fact done. It was a group assignment and I have email proof that dates back to that time, that clearly shows correspondence between me and a group member working on the assignment. When I asked group members what they had received for that assignment they mentioned that our group had received an 86%. And yet my result differs... Our group never received the assignment back despite Lisof insisting that students come pick up old assignments. When I went to retrieve old assignments that assignment wasn't among them and no other group members have it. So I had no way of confirming the marks.

I had not registered at LISOF in 2017 but I did register in 2018.

In 2018 when I brought up this matter it was completely dismissed. I was told I could not appeal a mark from two years prior. However, in December 2018, by pure stroke of fate, I was mistakenly sent an email by the appeals department in which a student successfully appealed a mark from a year prior. So in the same vain, I queried the issue surrounding my mark from two years prior. However I was once again shot down without even a sufficient response as to why I was graded a 0 for an assignment I DID & PASSED and why the other student was allowed to appeal her mark despite having exceeded the appeals window.

I believe LISOF made a simple mistake in capturing data to the student portal. As a result, I did not receive the mark I should've. Instead of simply correcting THEIR ERROR, I have been backed into a corner, expected to commit a year to doing a module I already passed AGAIN and worst of all expected to pay for it again (which I am unable to).

I have never in my life experienced a staff of people so rude and so unwilling to admit fault. They're number one priority is taking your money.
