EDSB700B Assignment 1 :: PGCE (YbDL)

I recently received a grade applicable to “Assignment 1: Policies in Education and Language Issues around Teaching and Learning” for the subject EDSB700. Despite meticulously adhering to the rubric, the marker gave me a grade of 56% without any justification (using the rubric as a foundation) or feedback (indicating where improvements are to be made). I am also not the only student that experiences the latter.

As a Higher Education educator myself, I make an effort to provide students with transparent feedback as to why marks were allocated the way they were, while also giving recommendations on how to improve for the next submission. For context, to date, I have received in excess of 80% for every assessment completed for the module. In essence, I do not believe that the marker graded my assignment fairly based on the rubric I received that applies to the assignment.
