LCA152 - Language Conversational: Afrikaans by Kurt Rabie

My experience with the LCA152 module has been extremely positive, and a large part of that is due to Mr Kurt Rabie’s dedication and teaching approach. Mr Rabie is a wonderful lecturer who consistently goes out of his way to make both the Saturday sessions and the weekly consultation classes engaging, interactive, and enjoyable for all students. His energy and enthusiasm create a welcoming learning environment where students feel comfortable participating and asking questions.

One of the aspects I appreciated most is his commitment to inclusivity. He ensures that every student feels seen and supported, regardless of their background or prior experience with Afrikaans. Whether you already have a foundation in Afrikaans or are learning the language for the first time, Mr Rabie explains the work in a way that is clear, approachable, and encouraging. He motivates students to do their best while also making the learning process less intimidating and far more enjoyable.

Afrikaans can seem daunting at first, especially for students who are unfami**** with the language, but this module proved to be both manageable and rewarding because of the lecturer’s guidance and the well-structured module content. Mr Rabie is also highly responsive and professional, particularly when answering questions on the Q&A platform. His willingness to assist students promptly demonstrates his genuine care for student success.

Overall, Mr Rabie is kind, professional, approachable, and passionate about teaching. He creates a positive atmosphere that encourages learning and confidence. For these reasons, I would honestly rate my experience with the LCA152 module a 10/10.
