Fantastic service experienced

My Sony Z3 Compact developed a \hairline"on the right side of the screen. Anyone that knows me will know that I take extreme care with any of my items. I was quite heartsore - not upset - when I saw this problem on my phone. I sincerely did not even want to think to go to the service provider with this problem as I know what the attitude would be etc. I googled the problem and saw that it does happen out of the blue to screens especially since it was not dropped "
