Won't take any bookings

As it is your 50th birthday and you have these special promos on, i understand that you will be buzzing. Our local Spur, Silver Chief is very popular due to the good service and food that is received there. We on many accounts have eaten there and we keep going back because of this. today however i am very disappointed. I phoned this morning to book a table for 7 people and my 6m old baby. I am aware you would be busy and decided to book solely for the reason that I don't wanna stand in a queue with a baby who would inevitably grow weary and impatient and start crying, if our party didn't include my baby we would've gladly queued, but we decided to book solely for this purpose. First a waitron i presume at this restaurant told me no, she then passed the phone to a manager by the name of Paul who told me they were advised not to take bookings. Now i understand how this industry works. the more tables you turn, the more revenue and walk ins tend to not sit as long as bookings. But in this case it is special circumstance. As we do have a baby we weren't planning to sit there the whole night anyway, which is common sense and good basic parenting really. but your establishment just basically told me that i cannot go to my favorite restaurant during promo runs, because of my baby. This is also not the first time i booked here. I successfully booked a table here before. This is really disappointing. I feel your establishment could be more accommodating based on circumstance. As i said, i understand how this industry works since i have worked in it myself, but never did we show bookings away if we had massive promos we knew would garner a lot of traffic in our store. Please revise your policies or at least put it on your ads that you won't take bookings (but i guess in that case you wouldn't get as many takers then, would you)
