We were bitterly disappointed

As two pensioners it isn't often that my friend and I go out for a meal, but we both decided to meet up for a steak at Seaside Village, where we both shop. We were last there about 3 months ago. There is usually a steak special on a Thursday so we were disappointed that the special no longer app****. Seeing that we so seldom treat ourselves we decided to go ahead and have a steak each. My friend ordered her steak medium-rare and I ordered a rare 300g rump. As soon as they were delivered I went to call the manager who agreed that mine was medium, and my friend's was well done. He asked whether we wanted to return them, but we had heard of staff spitting into meals that were returned and decided to stick with what we had. However, we were both bitterly disappointed and decided never to have a steak at Spur again, due to the fact that the exact same thing had happened when we were there 3 months ago. There isn't much point in asking people how they'd like their steaks when their request is totally ignored.
