Terrible service, pathetic attitude, misleading, day light ******* and food that is off.
I booked for my son's birthday at Gateway Spur and we agreed on my requirements but when I went there with 20 kids and 6 adults, it was a total disaster. I've requested to book the tables by the playing area but was forced to sit by the entrance in 3 different tables, I also requested platters for the adults as it would have been cheaper than ordering per person but when I requested for those I was told by a senior manager that they would not be able to make platters for me. Even when I tried to explain to him that it would be too costly to order for the adults individually, he was not willing to assist not that he couldn't. The worst part was when they told me that they would not give the children party bags which was confirmed by one of the managers 2 hrs before the arrival time. I have spoken to the store owner Allan but the only that he could do was to train his staff for a better service. When I raised the issue of the money I had paid (over R2000) for the service which I did not receive, he then told me the regional manager was to contact me on that which did not happen. I had sent Allan the store owner a video of the food that was served to us as proof. The gateway spur is selling boiled ribs yet they are charging us R170 per plate???????, this is day light *******. This restaurant should shut down seriously because they are dragging the Spur brand down.
