Spur quality no longer reliable
We were seated by an efficient, friendly waitress. The staff were considerate when we wanted to move away from a draughty doorway, quickly finding and clearing another place and alerting our waitress that we had moved. Service was great, but the food poor. We ordered medium rare burgers, anticipating the legendary Spur onion rings. One burger was underdone, the other overdone. The onion rings were soggy and oily and so were the chips. This was our first trip to a Spur in a long time, because our last experience was just as bad. What's going on with Spur? Once upon a time, you could count on a good burger with great sides. Not any more. Quality control of this franchise is needed - especially in the branches located in down-market shopping centres.
