Spur Fourways crossing
I went to Spur Fourways crossing this morning to have lunch. Arrived there got shown to our sit immediately (I was instantly impressed)
Sit down couple minutes later Naomi comes to our table and takes my order and my 3 year old son (who was in the playin area). I get up instantly to play with him she noticed and places a menu upright on the table so the other employees can see it reserved.
At exactly 11:16 I noticed nooooo Sandile had now put his own people there. And I’m still waiting for my food. I immediately raise this to the lady that assigns seats and she was like “can I bring you the manager” to whom I said “I don’t know sisi. I’m telling you my table is taken see how you can fix it.”
I go back to the playing area to keep baby busy and there’s a table that becomes available. But then noooo again they place other people there forgetting us. Mind you we been up since 6am and didn’t have anything to eat (stage 6 load shedding). Now it’s after 12:05 I then ask to see the manager myself ready to go to another restaurant because honestly been there over an hour and no drink no food. It was ridiculous. He didn’t offer a sincere apology. “You can’t do that. Okase dire jwalo. Oh bathong serious. Sorry” but nah there was no sincerity in the way he kept saying it. He looked distracted like he was not engaging with me.
Fine eventually the table is available as I am busy with the manager Atchie. We sit down and the food arg yuk. Cooooooold like the **** I asked for my order to be put on hold cause we didn’t have a table but clearly that wasn’t done. I ate the terrible cold chicken. Paid and left.
This is not the first time I had this terrible experience by this spur. Oh Shem it SUCKS!
Naomi was excellent right though. She’s an empathic person. As for the rest. Seems they need refresher courses/class/lesson to learn how to deal with clients and read the basic restaurant rules (how menu and cutlery are placed and what it means) and also how to cope under pressure. Cause I could also see how busy it was ergo I didn’t cause unnecessary drama by the restaurant after I had to wait for 1hr 20min to be decently served.
