Spur Arizona, Eikestad Mall Stellenbosch serving alcohol despite current restrictions on alcohol and the banning of same

On 14 January 2021 I attended the Spur Arizona at Eikestad Mall, Stellenbosch with friends and much to my surprise, we were served with Savanna Lights, an alcoholic beverage, despite alcohol being banned under the current Covid restrictions. The waiter had no hesitation in serving the alcoholic beverages to us and was not even wearing a mask at the time. It is this type of reckless behaviour and restaurants that deliberately ignore the restrictions and legislation that make the Covid numbers soar and cause the entire Western Cape to suffer. The operator, Shane Nolan, was aware that the staff were / are currently serving alcoholic beverages. I attach footage of the alcoholic beverages being served. What is also tragic to note, is that the staff are seen on CCTV footage partaking of the alcoholic beverages in the store's cold room. I contacted the Spur Head Office to lodge a complaint but as the store operator (Shane Nolan) and owners of the Arizona Spur are friends with the Area Manager of Spur for that particular area, the complaint was wiped under the carpet and completely ignored. I then reported the matter to SAPS for further investigation as well as contacting the toll free Covid hotline number to report these type of offences. I would definitely not recommend that patrons attend the Spur Eikestad Mall in Stellenbosch, unless of course you wish to contravene Covid regulations as the Spur Eikestad Mall in Stellenbosch are doing, under the auspices and full knowledge of the operator, Shane Nolan.
