Shocked

Last night we went to Spur for supper and what a terrible experience it was. Firstly yes i am aware of load shedding but seriously how can a restaurant as big as Spur Brackenfell not have a generator? We have been experiencing load shedding for a while now so Spur you cannot say this was new to you. When we got there they had a notice up that the lights will be going off at 8pm but they assured us that our food will be done before that. We were seated for almost an hour when our food arrived and it was cold. Yes the place was busy and it was Valentines day so im aware that there would be a wait but a hour is a bit to much. The food was cold and as we started eating the lights went off, and a few minutes later the place was full of smoke. I had my 2 children with me and had to get them out immediately as the smoke was bad for me can you imagine how my 1 year old felt. I am really disappointing in this an don't understand why such a big company would throw away so much money instead of investing in proper back up systems, we are living in a world where technology is available on out doorstep.
