Second year in a row that Spur dissapoints

Last year my kids had a terrible experience for their birthday at the Lemon Tree Spur. Because of that we did not want to even consider taking them there again, however it was up to the kids to decide between Carnival City and Spur, they chose Spur. When I called to make a booking, I was told they are fully booked. The more I explained that we are not interested about booking in the kids area, we want to book in the restaurant area, as the tables are not comfortable for the adults, and the kids are not at the tables anyway. I was told that they don't take bookings? We go to that Spur regularly. And more often than not, are their booked areas vacant even after saying they are full. Even their restaurant area are empty after the morning or lunch rush, yet they are still refusing to book a table. They would rather let us stand around and wait for them to get joining tables for us, instead of keeping a table for 15 min after people left. We did not ask to keep the tables for us from the morning, only to get it ready after the rush. I called Head office and they even told them they are fully booked. I can bet R100 if I go there on Saturday, tables will be empty. Great service!!
