ridiculous ribs

on the 05th of March me and my sister went to have dinner at the Spurs Ranch in Benoni Lakeside.

The service was good I could not complain even though sometime it felt like we would wait forever for our order to come but nonetheless the service was nothing to cry home about.

the one thing that gutted me to my bones was the main course, I ordered wings and Ribs as a combo and my sister was not that hungry so she ordered dessert but we ended up sharing both the dishes.Every restaurant has its trademark or should I say distinct taste which separates them from the others, for example KFC is well known for their recipe and its been there for ages,as for Spurs personally I think its their ribs and wings that have a distinct taste, but to my surprise when I tasted, the ribs were so flat, there was no taste what so ever, it was as if they had boiled the ribs then threw them in the grill without seasoning them or dipping them in their supposedly distinct sauce, secondly at one stage it felt like I was chewing on rubber I spent most of the time trying to get rid of the meat stuck on my teeth than enjoying the meal itself, now I have worked in a restaurant in England before and they had their trademark ribs which we use to marinade overnight and slow cook them so that the meat will fall of the bone when eating and as a result that would make chewing effortless,to my knowledge that is what one should expect when eating ribs but that was not the case with this meal,if am going to spend R500 and above on a meal it should be worth it.

appalling is the word that comes to my mind when I think of those ribs I ate that day,as if that was not enough when I had to leave I waited for years before my bill came to me which was a cherry on top,the flossing I had to go through when I got home was evident of the ridiculous meal I had on the day, money down the drain is another word that comes to mind.
