Review of the good smiles and bad tastes with a heart

Wonderful host taking us in (MLU) Waiter had and even greater smile (Queeny) and attitude.

The issues began when we got our drinks in dirty glasses.

Starter The dorky sauce was horribly salty (I usually love this sauce . (I have four bottles in my fridge) This wannabes white sauce tasted like a dirty sock was dipped in it . The wings was well cooked through and nice and crispy but was really bland like I hope the chef learns how to use some season (just make sure they don’t use the salt from our table where it had cloth pieces inside.

Waiter again I must mention is extremely friendly and keeps checking up every 5-10minutes

Reporting the sauce issue was greeted by a manager who was more than happy to assist made me very happy and forget the taste the sauce had left .

I had ordered a cheddamelt steak with cheese sauce but when it came it was with mushroom sauce which I do not eat.

They did take it back and hoping I get a new one made whilst my table continues to eat.

The cheese sauce was splitting when it arrived with everything getting cold

When the steak arrived again it sadly was brought with no love

Cheese not even melted and steak not sizzling so clearly shows the restaurant does not accept a complaint (chefs and kitchen staff). Steak is beautiful taste but slight sadly due to the fact it’s still more rare than medium rare I had asked for

In the beginning we had left 2 salts and 1 pepper at end of table along with 4 different plates and it did not move from our table

Veg was ok the only thing I’d lose is the spinach being rather bland

The butternut although not fresh (butternut colour gives it away) was nice.

All in all it’s a mediocre place to come have dinner and I wouldn’t host any events here unless management looks at staff morale
