R50 kiddies voucher turned around to R1
<p>We went to eat at the Geronimo Spur branch in York Road in George, Western Cape, last night (11/08/2016) to celebrate my little girls birthday. I asked them to use the R50 voucher that was loaded on my childs Spur card. When the lady returned with our bill, there meal was taken of and from the previous amount only R1 rand difference. How do you take a R50 voucher and convert it to R1? Our bill was R722 before the voucher and when the bill returned and the voucher was taken off, the bill was R721. I really cannot understand that</p>
Thank you for taking the time to bring you concern to our attention. In the past the kids birthday voucher had a value of R50 which meant that the child was limited to a meal up to R50 only. This was changed 2 years ago to a birthday meal voucher, meaning that the birthday child can order any meal off the kids menu, regardless of the value.
The birthday meal voucher is a free meal but the reason why R1 is allocated on secret tribe card is so that a monetary value can be claimed when closing the bill. The actual value of the birthday meal wont be deducted as the meal is already free, We understand that maybe the waiter should have explained it to you and will definitely raise this with the store.
