POOR SERVICE

We went out to Chatoga Spur in Glen Marais Kempton Park after church 29/01/2022

We sat next to the play area so we could watch the kids. Upon arrival the waiter that serviced us did not want to lead the way to our table.

Upon ordering drinks it took him quite a while to bring our drinks, he was hardly around to check if we can order or wanted or needed anything else.

Eventually he comes (Thami) our waiter and gets another order of drinks as well as the kids order for their lunch. Then we have not seen him since being left without anything to drink for a while after our last drinks order.

My Mother In Law eventually got up and got us another waiter to assist with out food order (Clayton) he read the entire order back to us before submitting it to the kitchen, when the food was ready only 3 meals had been prepared. Eventually that was sorted out and I got my food after everyone already enjoyed their meals. (I ordered half portion not full portion)

The starter that my father in law ordered was also taken away before he could finish. The manager of the restaurant was also not present much through out our 2 hour stay there.

You go out to have a great time with family and you pay for a service that you don't get yet when you start complaining then the waiter starts showing up tp his tables more and check up to see if all is fine and if we needed anything else.

It is sad to see and know that such a well known family restaurant has gone to that where service is no longer important.

It is unacceptable that we need to pay for a service of this kind and the bill was not small either.
