PATHETIC SERVICE FROM WAITER, GREAT MANAGER

I was with a friend at Spur, Grand-west, Cape Town. Service was awful, and it was pathetic customer care from waiter, who was not at all engaged and very unfriendly. He was not helpful, and definitely not willing to go the extra mile for customer. I was deeply disappointed, as I felt it was a waste of money and not what I had bargained for. The manager (Lyle) on the other hand, was polite, friendly and very sincere in his apology. He spoke with warmth, generosity and concern, which is what we expect when spending money to enjoy a meal. I felt that he believes in good customer care and genuinely takes pride in the overall well-being of customers. I was so disappointed by the horrible service of the waiter, that both my friend and I was not willing to visit this store again. Thanks to a great manager, with sincerity and a genuine apology, I am happy to say, we are willing to go back.
