Pathetic service

Firstly, since when has it become Spur's policy to ask for tips? <br> I was helped by Zanele yesterday. My daughter and I came in and I asked to be seated close to the play area. Bear in mind this was in the middle of the day and the place was empty. She wanted to seat us quite far, I then asked if we were able to sit closer and she mumbled that those tables are bigger. ( which I'm assuming means we can't sit there because we are only two people) Almost immediately she took us to the table I asked for. <br> While my daughter headed to the play area she took our order, I wasn't very hungry and only went to Spur for my daughter. She seemed visibly agitated at the fact that I wasn't ordering food and only ordered some drinks. <br> After eventually ordering some food we left. <br> At the till she had the audacity to ask if I want to add a tip. I always maintain that if you render good service you deserve a tip however this was far from the case and I left the restaurant disgusted that this just happened. What does it say about management if the staff is asking for tips? Are they not getting paid enough? really pathetic <br>
