Ottawa Spur in Claremont tied for worst Spur anywhere

Around 6:30pm on Sunday 29th July, we went to Otawa Spur at Cavendish. We were seated at a table near the play ares for our son. During the 90 minutes or so that we were there, staff were cleaning floors and moving table around us non-stop. Staff were shouting to chat to each other across the Spur, the person in the kids play area was so self-absorbed with their phone that I never got to see their face to identify whether they were male or female. The food arrived with my son's fish fingers hidden under a mound of overcooked sweet potato fries. My burger arrived with everything bunched onto one side of the plate and fries in the same state as my son's. The onion rings were burnt. My wife's steak was so tough that it was virtually un-cuttable - that's after the waitress forgot that it was a cheddamelt steak and had to go back to correct it. Her onion rings were also burnt. Definitely on par with the halaal Spur up the road for being the worst Spurs we've been to anywhere in SA.
