OIL SOAKED MUSHROOMS - ARKANSAS SPUR - WESTEND

We are really regulars at Spur and enjoy meals there every weekend.. It was with really extreme disappointment that we ate at Arkansas spur on Friday afternoon. We ordered Crumbed mushrooms as starter.... while busy preparing the starter, the electricity went of due to loadshedding. Something went wrong with the generator though and it did not come on immediately... for a while the whole spur covered with smoke coming from the grill, and that was fine, but then we received the mushrooms.... Clearly they were busy preparing when loadshedding struck and it **** in the oil... when the generator went on, it just start continue frying again... When we received it, it were small oil soaked mushrooms, tough like rubber... nearly inedible.... the next morning me and my husband both had an upset stomach.. We just really thought that it should have been common sense to not let mushrooms lie in oil and then just continue to fry after electricity come on again.. I understand that should they use new mushrooms, it would be a waist for Spur, but we pay R100 for a starter and deserve proper fried and fresh food for that. Should the manager of owner need pictures, it would be available.
