Non booking policy
So each year they Spur gives its Spur Tribe Members a R50 voucher to celebrate their birthday. So what happens when your childs birthday falls on a Monday - due to the 2 for 1 burger special you cannot make a booking.

What choice does Mom now have but to go stand in queues to hopefully get a large enough table that will accommodate the family to celebrate.

What annoys me the most is the 'don't give a ****' attitude' that I was given by both the Newlands and Cavendish Connect Spurs - its a simple case of tough luck this is Spur policy. These people are obviously so used to saying no to people for a Monday booking that they forget the person on the other side is a customer that they are dealing with! We don't give a toot about the 2 for 1 special - heck, happy to pay the full price!

So to Spur Steak Ranches, in future, when you invite your Secret Tribe members to come celebrate their birthday at the Spur perhaps add a disclaimer that states MONDAYS not included due to our STORE BOOKING POLICY!!!!

Absolutely unacceptable! Spur you are an utter disappointment to your young customers!
Thank you for sharing your frustration with us. We apologise for the manner in which your requests were dealt with and agree that as a customer, it is always disappointing to hear the word \no\". It really is a catch 22 because the customers that stand in a long queue get upset when customers arrive and \"jump\" the queue because they have made a booking. So to avoid any conflict with either group of customers the \"no bookings on a Monday\" is simply to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to get a table because it is one of our busiest trading days/nights.
