New Family Card Rules & No Credit Points

<p>I feel I am a genuine honest reviewer/commenter that gives a fair and unbiased opinion on a positive or negative experience.<br />At the end of Oct (just 2 days before Nov) Spurs Family Card emailed me that they were increasing the threshold for a R50 voucher by 1500 points - that's a 50% increase! Somewhat disappointed, as I think I was a few 100 points away from getting that R50 voucher (my wife and I regularly go for the breakfast at least every 2nd week - sometimes more often) and we had not planned to go before the 1st Nov. So we would have to spend 50% more to get a voucher. Sounds petty, but as a modified Scottish saying goes 'look after the cents, and the rands will look after themselves'.<br />What I have noticed since then which is not acceptable, is that when you do go to Spurs, and present your card at the end of the meal for payment...make sure your receipt shows the family card number and the transaction associated with it - I've been a couple of times since 1stNov, and not a single transaction has been credited with points! I've given up trying to get those points added to the loyalty account....<br />All I can say is, if you went to Spurs for a cheap quick breakfast plus loyalty points, rather go to your local cafe/breakie spot for it. I'm sure it will be cheaper and better quality, and a similar price, if not less.<br />By the way, the breakfast has increased in the last 6 months (or less) from R25 to R30, a bottomless coffee from R15 to R20, and a small breakfast juice from R13 to R18 (I stand corrected on that one). It seems every breakfast menu item has had R5 added to its previous price.<br />Anyway, just an FYI to all those Spur Breakfasters out there... Look around...At my local,I can get a better breakfast @ R25 and a coffee for R10. Spurs can keep there 'cheap' breakfast and there loyalty points.<br />Thanks for reading........................</p>
