Never compromise on service

It was my little boys 6th birthday today and he chose to spend it at spur since he looks forward to having them sing for him and he really enjoys the play area. Only to find it was a R50 special. Since he was already looking forward to going we didnt change plans and still went ahead. The worst experience ever! Firstly we waited ages long for our orders and orders forgotten due to the waitress not writing down what we ordered. She was running around trying to keep up with he pace. I asked for my sons chico ice cream and that they please do the bday song as after waiting so long he got impatient especially after hearing the birthday cheers for another customer. The waitress came back after a very long time with a melted bowl of ice cream and said that they were too busy to sing happy birthday. Can you imagine the utter dissapointment in his eyes?! I discreetly stood up and asked the manager if they could please do a little song for him since this was what he was looking forward to whole day, i understood that they were busy but asked him if they could please sing and he assued me that they would definitely sing for him. Well we sat and waited again!! Nobody ever came, we also couldnt find our waitress at the time to ask for the bill so we just got up and went to pay our bill at the front desk. By that time i had had enough of spur,paid my bill and just wanted to leave that place. The lady at the front desk was on the phone helping me and another client simultaneously and gave us the wrong cards back!! We quickly swopped cards and i left. Nearly at my car i realised iv either been given someone elses bill or iv been overcharged. So back i went to find out wth? I was charged for my sons "FREE" bday meal. They gave me back my cash and off i went AGAIN!! Spur, don't have all these wonderful specials if you going to compromise on your service! I wish we had rather stayed home or gone somewhere else because you spoiled what we looked forward to whole day. Guess where we won't be going anytime soon again?!
