Lone Hawk Spur

<p>On Monday morning, just before 08h00 I have called Lone Hawk spur to make a booking for my little girls birthday that day. The lady that answered the phone confirmed the number of guests which was 8 adults and 6 kids, our surname and she specifically asked if we would like it to be close to the play area. I said yes please because we have 2-year-old which we would like to keep an eye on. The booking was confirmed according to me. When we arrived that evening just after 18h00 there was no table booked for us.</p> <p> </p> <p>When we walked past the tables there was a note on one of the tables indicating that it is reserved and the time on the reserved letter was I think 2 hours earlier!!! How is it possible that my booking could not have been confirmed but a booking made 2 hours before the arrival time was booked.</p> <p> </p> <p>I stood there with all our guests being embarrassed about the whole situation. I had to explain to my little girl who’s birthday it is why we have to leave now instead of having dinner for her birthday at Spur as she requested.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are very disappointed in Lone Hawk Spur. This is a family restaurant and kids look forward to coming to your restaurants on their birthdays but being disappointed and treated like this will leave me with second thoughts. No use in having a very nice play area but not make reservations as promised.</p> <p> </p> <p>We called Spur The Grove when we got into the car and they immediately accommodated us with a booking and very friendly service.</p>
