Kiddies birthday vouchers

I was surprised that I can not redeem kiddies voucher meals to take home, I called Spur falcon in Carlton center and I was advised as such. Me and my husband we working most of the time and honestly don't have time to go and redeem for a seat-in. Why are they giving us these vouchers then? Overtime they expire
