Horrific Experience...

I write this review almost 6 months after this incident took place as I wrote a report on Grandwest and Spur Grand West facebook pages and sadly the only response i got was Likes and one message froma lady that said she is aware of what happened and that they want to contact me .

Well up untill today I still have not recieed any feedback what so ever.

I will NEVER forget this day. I don't think my two boys will EVER Forget this day either.

It was the most traumatizing experience I and my family and Children had to go through ever.

We went to watch the UFC fight on the 11 November 2016 held at the Grand West.

After a few fights we decided to visit Spur as we are a family and wanted to have the children enjoy themselevs at the play area Spur usually have aviailable as it is a family orientated restaurant.

We specifically asked to sit at the back near the kids corner where they can play. Once We sat down and ordered our drinks all hell broke loose. My little girl luckily woke up and i took her out of the pram. My boys was just taking their first sip of their drinks. When some random guys sitting in the 'so called children area' starting to call one names and slamming on the tables and started fighting. My eldest boy 5 years old that time ran after me the people sarted screaming and running all the ways possible my younger son got stuck in between the people fighting throwing bottles glasses and hitting one another.

It was something out of a horror movie and my youngest little boy saw everything. He was so traumatized he wet the bed for weeks after that night. When people screamed near him he went freaked out.

I ran out with my baby girl only 1 year old screaming and not knowing which side to go to get away from all. My husband and father in law ran another way.

After about 10 minutes my husband found me and asked where our oldest boy age 5 years is?

As i then rep**** I don't know he ran away from every body and i couldn't keep track of where he ran too. I was a wreck at that stage as my youngest boy age 4 years old was screaming and crying scared like hell. y dad a pensioner was in a state and so shocked. We were calling my oldest son and searching for him my husband went back in where they still were fighting and thought our son were still inside the play area. But with no luck.

Everybody was helping looking for our son. After 20 minutes we finally found him outside sour down the pathway standing traumatized with what just happened.

This was the most horrific experience I have ever had.

So here comes my questions:

1. Why do Spur alow only MEN with NO children to sit in a designated area for only Children and parents?

2. Where were all the security that should keep us safe when we are there at Grand West?

I have never had such a bad experinec ever before and my children as well. I really thought that by know we would have recieved a call from either Spur or Grand west to appologize or try to fix this. But as I said I have not recieved any feedback regarding this horrific incident.

I will never visit Spur again as this is not family restaurant they advertise to be.

my children got such a big scare they even ask not to go to Spur again and its so sad as they really loved Spur and to have their Birthdays there.
