Horrible Experience at Spur Eagle Spear – Hair in Food, Poor Service, Cold Meals & Chaos

I’m absolutely appalled by the shocking experience I had at Spur Steak Ranches – Eagle Spear (Lenasia) on Wednesday, 16 July 2025 around 18:30pm. As a loyal Spur customer for over 15 years, I’ve celebrated birthdays, family events and casual dinners at your restaurants – always expecting decent service and quality food. Unfortunately, this experience wasnothing short of a disaster.

We were a party of 12 people celebrating a birthday, and it turned out to be a night we’d rather forget.

To begin with, the restaurant was not even that busy, so there's no excuse for what followed.

Here’s a summary of what went wrong:

* A HAIR was found in one of the milkshakes, immediately raising red flags about your kitchen hygiene. Completely disgusting. * Orders were repeatedly incorrect – not once, but multiple times. Food had to be sent back to the kitchen, and each correction took an additional 20 minutes or more. * The birthday boy waited over 40 minutes just to get his food. * I personally had to fetch my own cutlery from the kitchen after waiting too long. That’s ridiculous. * Several people at our table got cold or wrong food, but chose to eat it silently because they were too hungry and afraid their food might be tampered with if sent back. * The manager was approached multiple times by different guests from our table, but there was no real effort to turn the situation around. * Worst of all – the owner is never present. This place is clearly running on autopilot, and it shows. * And let’s not forget – prices have gone up, and we’re feeling it. When you’re charging more, your service and standards should reflect that.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in years. Spur is supposed to be about family, comfort food, celebrations and service. Instead, we left frustrated, disappointed and honestly embarrassed for choosing Eagle Spear as the venue.

It’s clear this branch needs serious intervention and retraining – or new management altogether. Hygiene, accuracy, and service are not optional. They’re the bare minimum.

Spur, please take this seriously. Lenasia deserves better.
