Horrible and Disgusting Spur Experience

<p>We had our son's birthday party at Spur in Bedford Centre this morning, and the entire Spur experience was a massive let down.</p> <p>1) The bathrooms smelled like public bathrooms, comparable to bathrooms one would find at a busy petrol station. Horrible! And that in a restaurant?</p> <p>2) My wife and I had snails as a starter, but I have NEVER had such horrible snails. The snails tasted funny and I am sure it was off. We sent it back without finishing it. That was the first time EVER we did not finish our snails, as it is one of our treats we always enjoyed.</p> <p>3) We asked for a jug of water and some glasses. I did not know I had to ask for clean glasses. There was some water in the bottom of the glasses, and at first I though someone might have used them. When I smelled these glasses, it smelled like old dish water. Absolutely disgusting!</p> <p>4) When we finished the party and was ready to leave, we asjed for the kids' gift bags. It took about 15 minutes before we got these, as they had to go fetch some in the store room which was not in the restaurant. When we finally got the "gift bags" it was only a kid's toy, and not in a bag, nor were there any other things including in the "gift bag" like treats etc. We booked the birthday party 2 weeks in advance! The gift bags were supposed to have been ready etc.</p> <p>Guys, this was horrible. I cannot believe that your service has deteriorated so much. There weren't even balloons at the kids' table.</p> <p>We used to go to Spur all the time (For birthday parties alobe, about 1 every 2 months), but with so many other choices available, I don't think we need to stick around for this type of experience.</p>
