Glass found in waffle

Last night 21/09/2017 at Spur Somerset Mall, my husband bit on a piece of glass while eating his waffle. Luckily my 3 year old son was not interested in eating (we bought it for him) because he had to much fun in the play area. My husband was not injured but what if he swallowed a splinter or my son had to eat from it. We are regular customers at spur, but i was very disappointed with the response i got from the manager. He apologized, made it clear that these kind of things happen and compared it to a wet floor.. said that if my husband or son got hurt by this their insurance would pay. He seemed very insensitive and insincere. offered us another waffle.. where i refused.. & removed it from our bill. i was eating nachos at the time and i could not even finish my meal, that's how disgusted and in shock i was.
