Georgia Spur - LET DOWN
My family and I went to Georgia Spur on sunday 25 August for Breakfast.
We were seen to by our waiter (name not known) for our orders for drinks and food. When the food arrived we noticed some items on the plate were piping HOT and others were ice COLD.
My husbands plate had fresh hot chips, cold mushroom, cold bacon, cold tomato, warm toast and warm egg :(
My plate had cold (unappetising) chips and cold burger patty
my sister and brother in law had cold everything on their kickstarter breakfast but had warm cheese sauce.
When the waiter came to check on our food - I told her what the problem was so she took their plates away. I told her not to just go put it in the microwave as that is not acceptable. Low and behold 2 minutes later their meals were brought back by a different waiter. When I asked her if the food had JUST been put in the microwave she said she didn't know as the other waitress just told her to drop it off.
With our waiter no where in sight we started eating as everyone was hungry. We never saw her again.
The manager came to check on our food as they do - When I told her what had happened she said she would go check as that wasn't right. We also never saw her again.
We had to go ask another waiter for our bill and it was delivered to a table with empty plates and glasses which stayed there until we got up.
I'm not sure if this is now an accepted level of service across the Spur brand but I do hope it is not.
I must admit it is not the first incident that has happened with our family at this Spur but as you can imagine we put it down to bad service/food on that day and give it another go.
Well I will say that I will not be visiting that store again, unfortunately it has disappointed one too many times.
I do think that the staff/management there need to do more training and take it seriously as families are spending their HARD EARNED money there and being let down.
