Dissatisfaction

I went to spur Richard'sbay boardwalk mall with my partner on the 12th March 2022. On arrival we were taken to our seat by one of the waiters ( Bonga) who said he was calling someone else to waiter us, after we were bounced back and front between 3 waiters but eventually Bonga came back to waiter us. On order he suggested we add toppings but i explained to him that i dont want any topping, but he kept emphasizing that I add cheese because its only R15, we were served and ate and tipped the waiter, but had to go to the front to pay. While paying, the cashier named Phumzile asked if we are not tipping our waiter and i told her we already did. She then called for Bonga and said his friends are laughing at him because he got a small tip, instead of letting us pay in peace, she kept calling for Bonga and said they are running a competition of who receives the largest amount of tip. My question is what does that have to do with us as customers? We were there to eat but they made us feel unworthy, and what they did in front of us was unprofessional. If i tip a waiter its because of a good service not a must as im already paying to be served. We felt like they were classing us as we felt degraded and i dont see myself going back there to eat.
