Disgusted and Annoyed

We entered Spur at Somerset Mall on the 1/01/2019 and my husband had to ask for a waiter after sitting for 20mins with no assistance. The person who was requested to assist took our order walked away and then another 20/mins later a new crowd enters and in 5 mins their order taken and their drinks delivered. Still no placemats on our table and no waiter. She then walks pass, my husband stops her and ask whats happening she responds its coming. We then leave and ask to see the manager Jacques,, the manager advised us that its new year and desserts takes longer-I ask if that should not have been communicated to us as the customer? We normally go to the spur at Waterstone but due to the movies we went to this one. Very upsetting to be left feeling like you are not important.
